Session Closed Because of Another Login

Crewlap protects your account by allowing only one active back-office browser session at a time.

If you see Session closed, the same Crewlap Back Office account has been opened in a different browser session. The older session is ended, and Crewlap asks you to log in again.

Why Crewlap Does This

Back-office actions are done under your personal account. If the same account could stay active in several unrelated browser sessions, another person could use a stolen or shared password and continue working under your name.

Ending the older session makes this situation visible. It also reduces the chance that personal or business data stays open on a device you are no longer using.

This protection does not replace normal account security. If you did not start the new login yourself, treat it as suspicious.

What Counts As Another Browser Session

Crewlap treats these as another browser session:

  • Signing in on another computer, phone, or tablet.

  • Signing in with another browser, such as using Chrome after you were already working in Edge.

  • Signing in with a private or incognito window.

  • Signing in with another browser profile when that profile has its own cookies and saved sessions.

These examples are often described as "another device" because they do not share the same browser session with the page you were already using.

What About Several Tabs

Several tabs or windows in the same browser profile usually share one browser session. You can open Crewlap Back Office in more than one tab in the same browser, and that is not the same as logging in from another device.

If you sign out in one tab, the other tabs may also need to return to the login page. This is expected because they belong to the same browser session.

What To Do

If you opened Crewlap yourself in another browser or on another device, choose where you want to continue working and log in there.

If you did not open Crewlap somewhere else:

  1. Do not keep working in the old tab.

  2. Reset your password from Password Reset.

  3. Tell your manager or Crewlap administrator that your account may have been used from another browser or device.

  4. Do not share your password or one-time PIN code with anyone.

See Password Rules for safe password guidance.
