User Manual Help

Reminders

Notes, comments, tasks, and reminders help back-office users keep application and assignment context together with follow-up actions.

Notes

The Notes panel appears on application pages and in some assignment workflows.

To add a note:

  1. Type the note text.

  2. Optionally add salary expectation details when that context matters.

  3. Click Add.

Notes are saved on the related application. Some notes are also linked to a related object, such as a recruitment proposal or assignment, so that later readers understand why the note was added.

Comments

Use Add comment on an existing note or task when the new message belongs to the same discussion.

Comments stay grouped under the original note or task. This keeps the history easier to read than a long flat list of separate notes. Recruitment proposal decisions and messages are also stored as comments under the note that was created when the proposal was first made.

Tasks

Enable Create task when the note is an action item instead of plain information.

New tasks start in To do. A task can then move through these states:

  • To do: the work is recorded but not started.

  • In progress: someone is working on it.

  • Done: the work is completed.

  • Closed: the task is no longer active for another reason.

State changes are recorded through comments. When you change a task to Closed, write the reason in the comment so other users can see why it was closed.

Salary Expectation

Enable the salary expectation option when the note is about expected compensation.

Fill the salary amount, currency, expected rank, and expected vessel type when the fields appear. Crewlap stores these values together with the note.

Reminders

Enable Make a reminder when the note should become a future reminder.

Choose:

  • the recipient;

  • the reminder date;

  • the reminder time.

When the reminder time arrives, Crewlap updates reminder notifications in the top bar. A reminder can also appear in the Notes list with recipient and scheduled-time details.

Use Mark as read when you have handled the reminder. Read reminders stay visible as part of the note history.

Assignment Reminder Dialog

Some assignment actions open the same note/reminder form in a dialog named Notes. The fields work the same way as the Notes panel: add text, optionally schedule a reminder, then save with Add.
