Dashboard

The Dashboard is the default starting page for operators who can read applications and their private notes. It brings your actionable tasks and reminders together across applications in the current organization.

The page contains two lists:

  • Assigned to me shows tasks and reminders whose recipient is you.

  • Created by me shows tasks and reminders that you created, including items assigned to colleagues.

A task or reminder assigned to yourself appears in both lists. Plain notes, comments, salary expectations, and verification events do not appear on the Dashboard.

Find current work

Both lists initially show only open items. For tasks, Done and Closed are completed. For reminders, Read is completed.

Each list has its own filters:

  • Open, Completed, or All status;

  • all types, Tasks, or Reminders;

  • text search across the content, LAP ID, seafarer name, author, and recipient.

Changing one list does not change the other. Filters return to their defaults when you leave or reload the page.

Items are initially ordered by their action date: reminder time for reminders and deadline for tasks. Earlier and overdue items appear first; tasks without a deadline appear last.

Click Due / reminder, Type, Application, Content, Status, Created by, or Assigned to to sort a list by that value. Click the same column again to reverse the order. Sorting and filtering one list does not change the other list.

Open an item in its application

The Actions column lets you handle an item without first opening its application:

  • For a pending reminder, click Mark as read. Both the author and the recipient can mark it as read, including before its scheduled time. The item leaves the Open view and remains available under Completed or All with the Read status.

  • For a task, click Change task status, choose the new status, enter a comment explaining the change, and click Save. The comment is required. If it is empty, Crewlap keeps the dialog open, displays a message beside the field, and preserves the selected status. Done and Closed tasks move to Completed; changing one back to To do or In progress returns it to Open.

The task author and recipient can change its status from the Dashboard when they can read the application's private notes. The comment and state change are added to the task history.

Click the open icon in the Actions column to open the related application. Crewlap opens the Notes panel, moves to the page containing the task or reminder, scrolls it into view, and highlights it briefly.

Opening the Notes panel this way saves the same preference as the Notes button. It therefore remains open on later pages and after signing in again until you switch it off.

If the application or note is no longer accessible, Crewlap keeps the Notes preference unchanged and displays a warning.

Only applications for which you currently have both application-read and private-note-read access contribute items to the Dashboard. The application and seafarer details follow the same full or limited visibility rules as the application list.
