Global Attachment Cleanup

Global attachment cleanup helps administrators remove shared or unknown uploaded files that are no longer connected to active business data.

Open Administration | Global Attachments Management to review cleanup candidates that are not owned by one organization as private documents.

What Appears Here

The page can show:

  • uploaded file records that have no active business link;

  • uploaded file records whose stored content is missing;

  • shared application files, uploaded CV files, photos, and public document files that are cleanup candidates;

  • files where Crewlap cannot safely assign cleanup ownership to one local organization.

Private document cleanup for a known organization is handled by that organization's manager in Management | Attachments Management.

Table Controls

Use table filters to find rows by application, file name, location, storage status, or cleanup reason.

Use Columns to show only the fields needed for the current check. File size, storage status, and reason are usually the most useful fields before deletion.

When file content is present, click the file name to preview or download it. When content is missing, the row can still be selected and deleted to remove broken metadata.

Deleting Cleanup Candidates

Select rows with the checkboxes and click Delete selected.

The delete action is permanent. It removes the cleanup candidate metadata and any stored file content, freeing storage space and reducing broken references.

Permissions

You need the global Attachment Cleanup administration permission to open this page and delete global cleanup candidates.
