Attachment Cleanup

Attachment cleanup helps managers find private document files that no longer have a healthy storage link inside the active organization.

Open Management | Attachments Management to review cleanup candidates for the organization you are currently working in.

What Appears Here

The page shows private document attachment problems that belong to the active organization. Typical cases are:

  • a private document still points to an uploaded file, but the stored file content is missing;

  • a private document attachment still exists, but the document was marked as deleted;

  • a private document attachment link is inactive and can be safely cleaned up.

Shared application files, uploaded CV files, photos, and unknown uploads are not managed here. Those files are handled by a global administrator.

Table Controls

Use the filters in the table header to narrow the list by application, file name, storage status, location, or cleanup reason.

Use Columns to choose which columns are visible. This is useful when you only need application, file, size, and reason.

If a file still has stored content, click its file name to preview or download it before deleting. If the content is missing, the file name is shown as text only.

Deleting Cleanup Candidates

Select one or more rows with the checkboxes, then click Delete selected.

Deleting selected candidates permanently removes the attachment metadata and stored file content. Use this action only after checking that the row is really a cleanup candidate and the file is no longer needed.

After deletion, the table refreshes and the selected rows disappear.

Permissions

You need the Attachment Cleanup permission in the active organization to open this page and delete local private cleanup candidates.
